The UCAA is the official body to represent all who have graduated from University College Utrecht. The Board works hard to succeed at this function, and in order to do so, it cooperates with UCU, UCSA, ASC, UU, some third parties, and of course alumni themselves. Although many of the tasks and activities occur behind the scenes, visible projects to preserve the bond between alumni and the College, and between alumni themselves mainly include the events organized in a variety of locations on the globe, and the publication of the alumni magazine Post and its online counterpart TalkingPost.org.
Events
The UCAA organizes various events, such as regional drinks or the Pub Quiz. Regions where drinks are organized are dependent on alumni population, where Utrecht, Amsterdam, London and Oxford are the most popular destinations. However, since the total alumni population is growing steadily, more and more regions are represented by UCU alumni. Alumni are also very welcome at UCU- or UU-related events and activities; therefore these are announced by UCAA as well.
For upcoming events, please check the calendar. Past events can be found in the archive, whereas photos and videos are on our blog.
Regional Representatives
Regional Representatives are members of the UCU alumni network living in a certain area where many alumni reside. The RR’s represent this specific population of alumni and can be contacted – through UCAA – for questions about the area, housing and universities, for example. They regularly organize drinks where alumni can catch up, network and relax in a familiar setting. A list of regions with their respective representatives is provided here.
Post and TalkingPost
Post is the alumni magazine, formerly known as QuaQuaVersal, published by the UCAA. Post has an online counterpart in the form of TalkingPost.org, where articles in various formats are posted regularly and where alumni can engage in an online dialogue.
Alumni Award
Every year at Graduation, the UCAA awards one graduating student with the Alumni Award for their efforts to increase social cohesion on campus, while maintaining an excellent academic performance.
